Another great day trip was the abbey at Fontenay. Though the weather didn't cooperate as well as we'd have liked on that day, it actually made the sparseness of the Cistercian monastery even more apparent. Ren was totally focused on the water wheel (Mr. Mechanical) and Kate on the jumping trout (1-2 feed out of the water)...something was there for everyone!
