What a busy weekend. We spent Friday at Alter Bahnhof in Holzgerlingen with friends. We think we will start a Friday afternoon tradition. It's perfect for families, with a Biergarten outside with a playground, tables, and good cheap food. Saturday morning we made pancake breakfast and discovered just how much Kate loves sausage. She is indeed our little carnivore.
That afternoon we headed to Stuttgart to pick up Heidi's brother, who is in Europe for the week. We dragged poor Kevin to a picnic, but we think he actually had a pretty nice time, in spite of the jet lag. Sunday, we drove him to Munich and spent a few hours at the Augustiner Beer Hall for dinner and a managed to work in a little playtime for Kate and Ren.
Kate just loved Munich. Can you tell? We've been working on building German vocabulary for Ren in hopes that we'll have him in German schools in a year or so. We also work on some Spanish for his next-door playmate, Diego. Last week, Ren informed me that "A gato is a Katze." He managed 3 languages in one sentence :) Poor kid.
