Winter...back with a vengance and gone again

We jumped in the time machine at the beginning of this week and traveled back to Winter. In some ways, it was almost like Colorado (wait 10 minutes for the next season to arrive). Here's what the view out of our office looked like on Thursday morning...



and then what it looked like about 10 minutes ago (on Sunday). Never a dull moment.



We've been fairly picture poor but with better weather coming, we ought to start taking more.



In the last couple of weeks we went to Inge's (Drew's German host-mom) 60th birthday/retirement party up in Osnabrueck and other than that, we've been mostly puttering around town. The weather was nice enough last weekend for Kate to get another taste of flying a kite and we think we've created a monster...when she's outside and the wind starts blowing all we hear is "Kiiiiiiittttteeee, peeeeezzzzzz" (translated, "Dad, get off your duff, get the kite out, and let's go fly it!).

We're planning a vacation in Italy in late May and then will be headed to the US in August for Campmeeting and Kevin Wilmeth's wedding. You're all welcome to come visit this Spring, Summer, or Fall (Winter too, if you like Christmas markets) so just let us know and we'll save a bed!
